Earlier there were rumors that HMD Global is working on two new high-end devices, Nokia 8 and 9. Both of them will be launched this year but we are still not sure about the release date of Nokia 9. It will be launch on 31st July, this year. The model number of this device will be TA-1004 according to the recent reports. The price and specifications of Nokia 8 are revealed as per the new report. The price of the device is 589 EURO and around Rs 40,000 in India. Let’s have a overview of the specifications which are packed in Nokia 8.

Display & Build

The design of the Nokia 8 looks premium. Also, the device feels sturdy and easy to operate with one hand. It will sport a 5.7 inch 2K QHD display with 2560 x 1440 screen resolution and 515 PPI. Also, there will be a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection. Overall, it’s a well built device with premium looks and a great display.

Operating System & RAM

Nokia 8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest build processor, i.e., the Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU. This chip is already present in the other high-end devices already launched such as, Samsung Galaxy S8 and OnePlus 5. It will run on the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It will feature 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. These specifications are not official yet.


The camera of Nokia 8 will have a 24 MP rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. The front camera will be a 12 MP shooter. Nokia is already known for its quality cameras, so there’s no doubt that the camera will be top-notch. It will support 4K video recording, face detection, geo tagging, panorama and touch to focus. Again, these are unofficial preliminary specifications.
That’s all as far as the specifications department is concerned. Now, let’s wait till 31st July to witness the all new Nokia 8. With the launch of this device, Nokia might gain the recognition as it had in it’s early days.
